Rainbow Dinosaur Matching Toys – Letters, Numbers & Colours
Match colourful dinosaur halves and join them together for hands-on learning play. Each pictured dinosaur separates into two connecting pieces. Choose from mixed learning, colours, letters A–M, letters N–Z, numbers 1–10, or shapes sets. Learning content varies by the selected set.
How to play
Separate a few dinosaurs and find their matching halves. Connect matching colours, pair uppercase and lowercase letters in a letter set, or match number markings in a number set. Begin with two choices and introduce more pieces as appropriate. Take turns finding the next match and completing a dinosaur together.
Skills to practise through play
- Matching corresponding dinosaur halves.
- Recognising colours, letters, numbers, or shapes according to the chosen set.
- Using both hands to align and connect pieces.
- Making choices, following simple instructions, and taking turns.
Why I recommend this as an ABA therapist
I recommend these matching dinosaurs because they make matching tasks concrete and give each activity a clear finish: two halves connected into one dinosaur. I can vary the number of choices, demonstrate a match, and select learning content around the learner's goals. Choosing a dinosaur and requesting its matching half also creates opportunities for communication during play.
I adapt the set and level of support to each learner's abilities and interests, keeping participation voluntary. Follow the manufacturer's age and safety guidance for the separate pieces.
